Therapy shaped around you

Every individual is unique, so no single therapeutic model fits everyone. I offer both short and long-term therapy, drawing on several evidence-based approaches and tailoring our work entirely to your needs, your pace and the difficulties you bring.

How I work

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

A short-term, present-focused approach that looks at how your thoughts, beliefs and behaviours are connected. CBT helps you notice and gently challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, and gives you practical tools that lift your mood and change how you respond.

Psychodynamic therapy

An exploration of how unconscious memories, thoughts and feelings shape your conscious life. In a safe, non-judgmental space we look at unresolved conflicts and relational patterns, so that recurring difficulties begin to make sense and lose their grip.

Person-centred therapy

A humanistic, client-led approach developed by Carl Rogers, rooted in the belief that we each have an innate drive towards our full potential. I listen closely and support you as you learn to trust your own feelings and find your own answers.

Integrative therapy

Rather than sticking to one rigid method, I blend techniques to suit you as a whole person. Working with depression, for example, might combine CBT task-setting for daily motivation, psychodynamic exploration of its roots, and person-centred empathy that empowers lasting change.

Support for teenagers

I am deeply passionate about supporting teenagers through anxiety, depression, bullying and cyberbullying, family difficulties, OCD, bereavement, self-esteem and relationship challenges. Where it is appropriate and helpful, I welcome family members into sessions to build understanding, improve communication and strengthen support at home.

Support for adults

I work closely with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, unresolved childhood experiences resurfacing in later life, bereavement, relationship issues, domestic abuse, postnatal depression, and questions of self-esteem and identity.

What to expect from the assessment

The initial 50-minute assessment is our starting point and a chance to see whether we are a good fit. You will get a feel for how therapy works, talk a little about what brings you here and about your background. Together we decide whether my approach is right for you and if it isn't, I will gladly point you towards a more suitable service. Finding the right therapeutic relationship takes time and patience.

Ongoing sessions afterwards are collaborative and tailored to your goals, working together as a team to find what helps you most.
